The paintout for February 2017 was Nashville ; I choose this from Frankin, Tennessee included in the boundaries, an Old Store. I used mixed media : pencil, pen, watercolor pencil, and pastel on a heavy parchment like paper : )

This is a painting I did at an art class in Tucson ;their where 5 classes in total on watercolor, pen and ink , and pencil colors . The painting shown was pen, ink and watercolor ; I also learned some perspective , this being one point perspective . I also studied glazing , which I also studied on Strathmore Workshop . I also practiced color pencil during the classes to add to prior training , you just need to study from time to time, be it classes , or computer study ; never stop learning : )

For the September Virtual Paintout I chose the Herr's mill bridge in the Lancaster, PA paint out , I liked it for its old worn look with water under 2 parts of the bridge ; the creek and water for the old mill . For this painting I used Van Gogh watercolors on 11"x15" 400 series watercolor paper by Strathmore : )
